THE FENNEC FOX AND THE ARCTIC FOX

We have learned a lot of things about these amazing animals and we have watched some videos. They are wonderful!

These are the characteristics of the Arctic fox and the Fennec fox:

- Fennec foxes live in the desert and Arctic foxes in the Arctic.
- A Fennec fox is brown and an Arctic fox is white in winter and brownish grey in summer.
- Fennec foxes have got very big ears to hear and to shed body heat and a bushy tail that they use as a blanket during the night.
- Arctic foxes don't need big ears because they live in cold climates.
- Both are mammals and omnivores.
- A Fennec fox has got a thick fur because during the night-time, a desert can be downright cold!
- The Arctic fox has the warmest fur of any mammal, even than the polar bear!
